Why Dr. Applebaum?
Patient care, trust and your satisfaction with good outcomes are my upmost concern.
Laser Skin Resurfacing with Dr. Applebaum reduces fine lines, wrinkles, creases, and aging pigmentations with a minimally invasive treatment that shortens recovery time and provides beautiful, natural results.
No matter how much we may try to protect our skin and avoid aging, at some point, nearly everyone succumbs to aging and sun damage. Nothing ages your face faster than fine lines, wrinkles, and discolorations, and for years, the only treatment options were abrasive procedures like dermabrasion and chemical peels. Since the mid-1990s, laser skin resurfacing has replaced dermabrasion and chemical peels as the preferred method for rejuvenating tired, aging, and sun-damaged skin, and no one is more familiar with this procedure than Dr. Applebaum. Dr. Applebaum from early on in his career had an interest in using lasers in Plastic Surgery as he was trained at the Beckman Laser Institute. Recognizing the superior results and reduced recovery offered by laser skin resurfacing, Dr. Applebaum was one of the early adopters and plastic surgeons in southern California to start using the Dot C02 Fractional Laser, helping hundreds of patients discreetly turn back the clock on aging and remove scarring.
When should I consider Laser Facial Resurfacing?
Laser skin resurfacing is a minimally invasive procedure that can be used to reduce fine lines and wrinkles, soften mild creases, fade aging pigmentations that occur over time, and treat acne and traumatic scarring. Dr. Applebaum’s preferred technology is the Dot C02 laser, which is a revolutionary technology that minimizes swelling, redness, and pain while reducing recovery time. Unlike earlier lasers, you won’t need to undergo general anesthesia to experience laser skin resurfacing. The Dot C02 procedure can be performed with topical gel anesthesia while the patient is awake, which offers a significant advantage for patients who prefer to avoid general anesthesia.
The Dot C02 laser is suitable for all skin types and is highly customizable to each patient’s needs. Dr. Applebaum uses his decades of experience and expertise with the technology to carefully customize the treatment for each patient’s skin type, skin color, skin thickness, and the amount of sun damage, scarring, or wrinkles present. Additionally, while many patients have laser skin resurfacing performed on their face with the Dot C02 laser, the laser is also gentle enough to resurface the neck, chest, and hands.
